Education and Career
Aiste started her legal career at a leading Maltese law firm focusing on gaming and blockchain industries. She then moved to KPMG where she worked in the corporate tax world, gaining broad experience in other sectors, namely the fintech, financial markets, blockchain, and gaming.
Between 2017 and 2019 Aiste received certifications from courses on ‘Virtual Financial Assets’ by the Malta Institute of Management (MIM), the VFA course for VFA Agents taken under the IFSP Malta, and the ‘Blockchain and the new Malta regulatory framework’ from the Institute of Legal Studies (ILS).
She has also obtained an Advanced Diploma in International Taxation (ADIT) from the Chartered Institute of Taxation, in the UK. She later became a guest lecturer at the MIM and has also given lectures on the legal aspects of blockchain, at the University of Malta, Malta Stock Exchange, and on privacy at the ISACA Malta chapter.
